Hydrocarbon Dynamics’ innovative Multi-Flow™ chemical is a green tech molecular disaggregator that effectively controls waxes, asphaltenes and resins at a lower dosage rate whilst dramatically reducing BS&W by rapid in-line separation of the water and oil phases, breaking emulsions and eliminating foam.


Multi-Flow is a liquid and is injected into pipelines, wells or oil formations through standard injection architecture from the oil formation to the refinery. The reliquification of aggregated paraffin wax, asphatenic and resin deposits is accomplished by breaking down the chemical bonds which exist between individual carbon chains and substituting smaller carbon chains in their place. The small carbon molecules are carried by HCD Multi-Flow™ which reliquifies wax, asphaltene and resin deposits on contact, reducing asphaltene and paraffin flow restrictions in the transfer lines, pipelines or downhole within the oil formation. The increase in flowline size and the corresponding reduction of sludge layers along pipe walls greatly lowers flow line friction and subsequently increases flow rates.

The introduction of Multi-Flow's unique carbon molecules to the crude oil effectively de-waters the crude oil. This breaking of the emulsion and subsequent reduction in water content aids significantly in reducing BS&W levels as well as impacting underdeposit corrosion that may damage expensive plant and equipment.

Multi-Flow is organic, requires no harzardous chemical handling protocols (with a flash point of 97°C) and can significantly impact on your HS&E concerns and OPEX spend.

Down-time to remove well and pump blockages disrupts your cash flow whilst increasing cleaning cycles may exacerbate your cost of stabilising production. Traditional carcinogenic, volatile chemicals are incompatible with the latest long lasting bacterial solutions that have been proven to stabilise production and reduce the time between cleaning cycles.

Traditionally well formation blockages are treated with heat and chemicals to remove asphalt and wax depositions. Relying on heat to continuously remove blockages can work against the operator as asphalt deposits tend to reform after heat treatments, with increasingly harder deposits that subsequently become challenging to remove.

High water content (water cut) is problematic to treat in the oil formation and often dealt with at surface level by poorly performing emulsion breaking chemicals, heat and/or mechanical means.


The HCD EOR patented process developed by Hydrocarbon Dynamics, is a three-step treatment protocol designed specifically to treat heavily paraffinated or asphaltened wells, or wells with high viscosity or challenged by colder climates. Carcinogenic chemicals are traditonally utilised by oil field operators to remove blockages within the oil formation and oilfield flow lines. These chemicals are often volatile and do not support beneficial microbial colonies that act in the long term to improve oil viscosity and support production stability.

HCD's award winning product Multi-Flow™ is environmentally safe whilst incredibly effective at liquefying wax and asphalt deposits. HCD Salt Reducer chelates calcium, magnesium and sodium chloride deposits. This ensures that any scale deposits are broken down and removed. HCD Salt Reducer is compatible with HCD Micro Phase to ensure your beneficial microbial colonies are protected if intervention to reduce scale and salt deposits occurs regularly.

HCD Micro Phase is a beneficial microbial solution made up of a natural organic blend of numerous strains of hydrocarbon viscosity reducing bacteria. This unique blend builds colonies in the oil formation and increases production by reducing crude oil viscosity and stabilising long term oil well production.

HCD Remediate is a specialised service that incorporates the unique ability of Hydrocarbon Dynamics' core chemistry to safely liquefy crude oil paraffin wax and asphaltenes in situ. Once liquefied, HCD Remediate's protocol takes advantage of the extreme hydrophobic nature of hydrocarbons once HCD Clean Up is introduced to hydrocarbon distressed environments.

With the application of HCD Clean Up to hydrocarbon distressed environments, oil / water emulsions are broken and hydrocarbons will seek to evade any water. This allows HCD technicians and scientists to assist in the removal of large hydrocarbon residues that may be visible, present, lost or active in the water phase.

After the removal of large hydrocarbon deposits, HCD Remediate may recommend the use of HCD Salt Reducer to chelate salt deposits that are residual and harmful to healthy environments and plant growth. The effective chelation of salts using HCD Salt Reducer may be advantageous to reforming plant growth - as these chelated salts may be used by plants as food.

Difficult to reach hydrocarbons may be remediated in distressed soils through the application of HCD Micro Phase.

HCD Micro Phase is a blend of environmentally safe microbes or bacteria that seek to reduce the viscosity of hydrocarbons in the soil. HCD Micro Phase is environmentally safe and not effected adversely by HCD Clean Up.

A combination of HCD Clean Up and HCD Micro Phase allows difficult to get at complex hydrocarbons to be molecularly disaggregated and subsequently 'lifted' for removal and disposal by water. The extreme hydrophobic nature of crude oil after it has been exposed to Hydrocarbon Dynamics' ground breaking core chemistries is utilised wherever possible.

Deep soil contamination by hydrocarbons that may be problematic to reach using Hydrocarbon Dynamics' core chemistries, salt chelation and bacterial solutions may be remediated using HCD Ozone.

HCD Ozone is an application of ozone by soil lancing. Specialised soil lances allow for the physical application of ozone to help break up difficult to reach complex hydrocarbons. This may be an effective solution to water tables that are distressed by oil spills.
